I-V curves
Measuring an I-V curve is only the beginning. The value lies in associating each measurement with its environmental conditions to obtain traceable, comparable results, even when the tracer and the sensors work without direct communication.
What does it solve?
- Identification of electrical anomalies
- Comparison with acceptance windows
How is it carried out?
- Acquisition of several curves
- Selection of the most representative one
- Correction to STC with traceable data
What does the client receive?
- Fully documented technical record
- Excel file with all the processed data
- Evidence for each string
- Digital signature of the technical team
Solution
Measurement standards and methodology

IEC 60891
Sets out procedures for correcting I-V curves for irradiance and temperature and comparing them with reference conditions, including STC.

IEC 61829
On-site I-V measurement, environmental logging and transfer to reference conditions.

Bifacial modules
We adapt the measurement to front- and rear-side irradiance, using IEC TS 60904-1-2 as a reference for bifacial device characterisation.
Data journey
Our methodology
From acceptance criteria to the final diagnosis. An I-V curve provides electrical information, but comparing it with reference conditions requires correctly associated, traceable environmental data.
Get a quoteThe most representative valid curve
We carry out several acquisitions per string to discard readings affected by transients or incorrect environmental associations. In the subsequent analysis, we select the most representative valid curve based on stability, electrical consistency and the quality of the environmental data.
- Correctly associated sensor data
- Stable electrical behaviour
- Valid irradiance conditions

Do you need an I-V curve campaign?
Tell us about the case: number of strings, module type, typical distance to the combiner box, acceptance windows defined by the owner, estimated date and objective of the campaign. We will propose a plan with a documented methodology.
